I am making a personal request to have you become more active in our discussions.

Pardon me if I have missed your participation in the 22 section but I respect your knowledge and request more input across the boards. I think your knowledge is more than random and hope to see your increased participation!

Well, thank you for the compliments!! I joined this forum as I was having a little trouble in my last one, and a buddy of mine recommended this one. My son turned 18 last year and he's been going nuts buying guns and such. We had to get a gunsafe a few months back as his room looked like a raghead arsenal. We just put down $600 bucks on a new Savage 30-06 he had his eye on for awhile. He's busy paying off college loans, books, and things by working 10 hr days on the farm. He's a good kid, and turns 20 tommorow. He already has his sights on his pistol permit for next year, and wants a German Luger to accompany my wife's P38, among other pistols. I myself gave him all my guns but I still like to say "mine",lol. I don't hunt or go out too much as I'm 100% disabled, but I enjoy watching him shoot. He shoots better than in my prime, and I shot "expert" withthe M-16 way back in 1970. I'll be here!!

If I get a 10/22 you can bet I'll be sending mine your way to fancify it if I get the dough.

Hey- some of us have to WORK for a living, y'know......

(Or at least look like we are.

When the boss is looking.....)

But speaking of squirrel rifles- while I have a crapload of Marlins, Remingtons, Winchester and Mossberg .22s- the one I enjoy most for offhand small game hunting is the rifle I learned on.

Marlin 39A.

C3 the 39A just oozes class! It's basically the same rifle that Annie Oakley used so much & loved! Of course you already knew that as over the years it seems I've never seen a category you ain't well versed on! It's my honor to call you friend and still threaren to shake your hand sometime in the future!

What's going on brother?
It's nice to see you back here again. There's not many of us left around here anymore,it seems upper management around here doesn't like the experienced workers. They'd rather have cheaper un-experienced minds that they can shape to their way of thinking.
