I was thinking about getting this gray semi auto 22.lr but I don't know if I should get this one or a bolt action.
Bolt- or semi .. Thoughts ?
Now remember I'm using this for hunting

Get a bolt. Them damn Remington 597s are nothin but a waste of good money

I have a 597 and it works great. However it does have to be clean, clean the magazine the rest of the rifle will work fine.

Put about 2500 rounds through it then TOTALLY tear it down and clean it. It will be junk afterwards. I know because I have about 20 in the junk pile at the shop. All w the same 2 problems

Then you have the problems they come w-charging handle isn't pinned in, triggers like dragging an anvil, picky as hell on ammo, can't adjust said anvil trigger, springs get messed up easily, and the receiver is made of CHEAP pot medal

Bolt or semi? Do you like to drive a stick, or prefer an automatic? Do you like to take some time and try to put ten rounds through one hole, or prefer to keep a tin can jumping around?
