My favorite 22 rimfire is a Revelation. It was sold at western auto supply companys in the 1950's. It a model 100A single shot bolt action rifle that shoots shorts, longs and long rifles. My dad gave it to me win I was 7 years old. It still shoots bullet hole for bullet hole at 50yds. Im 52 now can't say anymore then that.

I purchased my Revelation bolt action 22LR rifle from Western Auto in Greer, SC. in 1966. It was made for Western Auto by Marlin and was their model 780. It has a 7 round capacity magazine & has been simply perfect over the years. I mounted a standard limited field 22 scope and get good results from my rifle as well. Can't say anything bad about the gun. Heck it has performed for 45 years now with no problems at all. The bolt action is chromed along with the trigger & trigger guard. It really is a nice looking rifle.

Forgive the late post...I'm a new member and just now reading your post. I think I used a model 100A when I was a kid back in the early '70s. I borrowed it from a cousin and got very familiar with it. I never used a scope, just the iron sights. I'm looking to buy one but I can't remember the model. Your gun looks just like what I can recall. Mine had a front sight with a '"fine" bead. Does yours?
My best,

My 1952 HC Higgins is also a Marlin 100. It had a brass bead on (behind) the front sight. It fell off some 35+ years ago. S/L/LR. Best Squirrel rifle I've ever used. No dovetail for a scope.

Would you consider selling it? If so, could you update more pics?

Very nice looking rifle. Love to hear others have rifles for years and still work great.
