If hes a good kid id hate to see him get introuble because of his dad. I went to the pawn shop and talked to the owner to see if he could tell me what condition it was in but he didnt want to talk about it.
Guess ill just have to wait, i hate waiting. Lol

I'd ask him what happened to the rest of the stolen stuff

That very question was brought up, i was wondering about my shotgun that was taken also. He said he never saw it. They have charged him with a couple different things. Such as selling stolen property/ firearms, recieving stolen property and more. Not sure whats gonna happen , i know my rifle has now become evidence.

30 YEARS? Incredible. I'd be sleeping with that gun from now on. What wonderful fortune.

OutStanding! Good to hear, their are still parts out their for them, I had to fix my Marlin 89C that I shot as my 1st rifle, some idiots broke into my house in Texas, stole computors, TV's 4 shotguns, Marlin 10/22 and busted up my Marlin 89C, so I had to use Wood glue to fix the stalk and bought a new extractor so it would eject the shells, love it!

This same sort of thing happened to a friend of mine. He had a big bunch of guns stolen from his house back in the late 80's, but was well organized with a complete list of serial numbers for the stolen guns that he gave to the police. Over the next 20 years or so, the guns came straggling back to him one at at time as they were recovered by the police either through crimes, or pawn shops. He eventually got them all back amazingly enough.

Good news OP! Congtrats.!!!

I already had at the time my 10/22 that my grandfather bougt me the day i was born, but dad was carful about letting me take it out of the house. So he bought me the marlin from a local hardware going out of business, it was 83.00 plus tax.
In 1992 i got it stolen out of my truck along with my winchester 1300. I thought it was gone never to be seen again. Last night my dad called and said he got a call from the local police department, my marlin had been found. I still cant believe it after all these years how. They said we should be able to get it back in about 30 days. I have the box and all the paper work i couldnt bring myself to get rid of it.
I dont know what shape its in but am excited to get it back. Just wanted to share a unbelivable story.

Yeah, it sounds like the kid trying to sell the gun MIGHT be getting raked over the coals, huh? I'd say if he didn't know, I'd try to help get him off. Then I'd go piss on his father's grave.

Oh yeah! That's right. We do. It's been more than a week since he's logged in though. Might be a while.

I was actually subbed specifically so that I could see what a 60 that's been raked through the dregs of society looks like.
