Marlin Model 60 feed issues
I just picked up a model 60 from a pawn shop "as-is" It has problems feeding and supposedly ejecting. I haven't had time to tear it down or shoot it. Has anyone had similar issues or any thoughts what it might be?
Thanks

Usually tear one down and clean all the powder residue out of the follower and it will solve the feeding problem. The ejection problem is probably the ejection spring

Couple cans of carb and throttle body cleaner, couple cans of lube.
No one ever cleans their .22's. They're always such a mess. It seems many just buy them, shoot then till they malfunction, then say "I'm gonna sell this worthless piece of junk", and take it to a pawn shop, let a $200 rifle go for $75.
If I wanted to make money trading guns, I would concentrate on .22's. Buy 'em cheap, sell them cheap, and still turn a profit.

And the great thing is, they really rarely need anything more than a good cleansing. Just like a colon.
Tourette's....

If you have difficulty cycling rounds manually, it may be the lil plastic recoil buffer has been battered to crap by too many "hyper velocity" rounds. The part is cheap and there are some decent youtube videos about swapping it out. Happened to mine after my nephews "borrowed" it when i was living out-of-state.

Well this is a perfect spot to start! I do have a marlin 60 with feed issue's. I cleaned the crap out of it, not a spot of residue left in or on it and it was bad so put it all back together and nope still won't cycle all the rounds. If the shell is in the chamber it will not pick it up so the left extactor looked alittle worn so I replaced that I can't see what it's doing with dummy rounds cause it will cycle fine slow or as fast as I can open and close it but when I shoot it will jam. I wish it would do it when I manualy cycle it with my dummy's but don't and I learned the hard way with live rounds (getting brass dug out of an eye will teach you that u are an idiot)! Try'd 3 different brands still does it so now what? I could replace the ejection spring and possibly the recoil buffer does look alittle beat up but it cycles fine manually. Any input will help cause as you all said most of the time a good cleaning solves most issues.
