I took the boys out today. It was a rimfire day. Once again my 60 performed like a champ. My 11 year old was hitting a 7" steel plate at 100 yards w/ the BSA .22 special scope it wears. It was a $29.00 3-9x32mm 10 years ago. While we were there a guy started shooting a 10/22 laminate. Can you say jam, jam, jam.....
His rifle was scoped also. He left when my 11 year old started hitting the 7" plate at 100, he could not touch it. It must have been the pressure.
My little guy hit 4 of 5 w/ a M1969 Romanian trainer w/ iron sights(100 meter sights). He really made this guy feel bad when he hit 10 of 10 w/ the 60. We politely said goodbye as he went home. __________________ Freedom is not free. The best of us always leave too soon. |

I got a 60 for my high school graduation present... (funny I didnt get a 22 until I was 18, but got a .243 when I was 12)
I have a bushnell 22 scope on it and it is the smoothest shooting squirrel popper I've ever shot. I have taken tree rats from 75 yards with it sitting in my deer stand. __________________ WCU Rugby!

If you are at least 6' tall, yes, the average pace is three feet.
If you are under 6' tall...it'll be slightly less. __________________ Calico Specialist
