I'd take a Marlin model 60 for $65. Great rifle at an unbelievable price...

They haven't fallen outta my grace. I think that they are dandy rifles. I wouldn't swap a good one for an equal condition 10/22.

I got mine in a trade with my brother. I don't think he necessarily wanted to part with it, but the gun I was trading him was worth a considerable amount more than the revolver he was trading me. Now that I'm married I left the Model 60 at my parents house so my dad can use it to plug the groundhogs that tend to get into his garden... With the scope on it, that thing is laser accurate

Lets see...over 16 million Marlin 60/99's made over the last 52 years...
so at any given time there should be a couple thousand available online...

Plus the concerns over the 18-rd mags (Pre-1994, damn you Bill Clinton) due to current anti-gun legislation...
you are likely to see a LOT of Marlins being sold out of NY.

And around 25% of Marlin owners don't know the Nickel Gauge trick for the ejector wire...
and that Remington Rimfire ammo sucks gopher guts...so they think something is wrong with the gun...

Or occasionally I'll have a stack of Barn-Finds that I've refurbished sitting in the repairs safe,
and my Wifey see's them and tells me its time to Cut Back...so I'll toss 'em online at an auction

I might be mistaken, but I believe that 18 rounder is the Model 99, the predecessor of the model 60.
