Default Marlin House-Brand listing

For those who love Marlin rifles and all their variants, here's a listing of every rifle Marlin I've found made for other stores
that may or may not have had the Marlin or Glenfield name roll-stamped on it.
Most have the store brand stamped, which makes tracking rifles difficult if you don't have a list.

This is a great list to have on you when you go to a gun show or just keep in your glovebox when you go yardsale-ing,
just so you'll know what is what when it comes to Marlins!!

Shrek,

Great Post! And certainly brings back old memories. A girl that was in my class, her father owned a Western Auto Store that sold guns. I bek=lieve they were called westernfield?

Western Field was predominately used by Montgomery Wards, but it wouldn't surprise me if Western Auto used that too.

I worked for WA back in the early 90's, after they gave up guns...as a Tire Changer. Learned a lot about auto repair

I have a Western Field that is merely a re-branded Marlin 336 in .30-30.

Wanna say it is a model 340? I'll check.

Just reply to this thread and add them in the reply. Surely, interested readers can put it all together.
I would like to know what you have to add. I copied and pasted your above post and I can add the new additions to the list, in the proper spot.

Thanks
Mule

I am sorry. I posted before searching. I found your updated post.

How could you confuse a Marlin action? Regardless of the name.
