Hey guys I'm wanting a 22 mag and I seen the Marlin 982vs and I really like the way it look with the bull barrel and stainless steel dose anyone have one and what do u think about it thanks

Get the 982 ss......it would work alot better for what you want it for.

The new replacement for the 982VS is the XT22MVSR...

which gives you the XT-22's Pro-fire trigger that came from the X-7 series...
and a few other bells & whistles...all shown on the Marlin webpage...

Of course, the XT22MVSR trigger can be installed on older Marlin versions, like the 25M, 25MN, 25MB, 25MG, 882, 925M, 982VS, & 982VS-CF
So if you find a hot deal on one of the above, you won't feel bad in picking up an XT trigger later on and having a G-smith install it...

I've got a 25MN, but I worked on the trigger until it was so sweet I just can't see replacing it...
so I'm looking for a sweet deal on the 882/982 to mod like crazy...w/ the MVSR trigger & a Boyd's laminate stock...
or I'll just pick up an XT22MVSR...just depends on my mood and the deals I find...lol

Lol I've been looking for a 22mag for a good amount of time and I could not find one so the guy at the shop asked me if I just wanted him to order me one so I told Ya just let me get some money up and find a model I liked and he said alright.

So how much dose the newer one cost?
