I recently bought a new marlin 925m and I am having probleems with it not firing everytime. I have tried greasing it and looked into adjusting the firing pin but nothing helps. The pin markings are not consistant on any shell I have tried CCI, winchester, and remington with the result being the same.
I'm open to suggestions

have you taken it all the way down. and scrubbed it out very well. Sounds like the firing pin is hanging up somewhere. I am going to say it is dirty or broken.

I see it is new so I am going to say broken firing pin or spring.

If the store you bought it from does service, take it back & have 'em look 'er over. A good gun shop takes care of small problems. If you don't get it resolved there, Call & E-mail Marlin Customer Service.

Sounds like a bad spring, happens occasionally with every brand of rifle out there. It's a pain, but fixable.
