Nice! The 60 is a work horse no doubt.

The ftf and fte are caused by one simple thing an idiot that should never own a firearm because they are too lazy to clean it. The 10/22 will do the same thing if not cleaned. The 10/22 is a very popular rifle for a reason, and yes so is the 60. The one vast advantage the 60 or 795 has over the 10/22 is that some yokel will shoot them until they are so filthy they won't run say they are worn out and then sell them to me for next to nothing. Just my opinion anyway......
this is something for the OP to really consider imo. I see the marlin 60 brand new at wal mart for $160. used they can be had for closer $100....maybe less.

no extra $ to spend on mags, semi auto.....they are accurate little boogers....I think it fits the bill.

only downside, I don't think they have sling attachments, you'd have to add your own.

I saw several "used -like new" 10/22's, Remington 597's, and Marlin 60's at the Gunshow today. All under $200...several shows in the N.E. That the OP can get to. Some of what followed me home...
