Second this. They shoot great feel great and look great. But I hate the tube loading. It may have worked for cowboys but I'm from the magazine generation.

The cowboys didn't even deal with the tube loading for long

One like this one in 45-70 or 30-30 would be nice.

Cut a slot in the side of the receiver and it's perfect lol.

Default Let's talk about Henry Rifles!!! Reply

I have a Winchester and a Marlin center fire both load through side of the receiver. The Henry load through the top of the magazine tube. It is quicker to load and unload with this method & just as safe if not safer. Cliff

I went to my local fun store today and held a Henry Survivor (camo'ed) and a Henry Big Boy in .44 mag. So much want! The Big Boy weighs a lot more (or so it seems) than my Golden Boy and that's understandable given the power of the .44. The stock on the Survivor is wider than I expected and the sights struck me as a little cheesy n cheap.. I do like it though and could learn to live with the sights I believe.

I agree completely...looks a little crazy at first..saw the exact same one recently..but once I picked it up...I could not put it down..haha. Just one of those thing s that I would love to own. The shop I found it in said he gets a lot of trappers that buy them Bc they float.
