Wifes Father passed a week ago- Left her sum guns & left me his dads 22-
A H&R 1st production Sportsman! Serial number 260 - Finish is bad but tight as a prom queens thighs & action is even smoother :D
Pic sucks- Camera is bout dead :(

Glad to see you're back Hoss. Hate to hear that it's been a tough time for you.

Good looking gun there though. My grandpa has the exact same gun on his nightstand. You don't see a lot of those around anymore.

No, a lot of the later 999's around but not so many of the original Sportsmans-
Was told her Grandfather bought it new in the thirties mabe? Guess i need to reserch the serial number, with a 260 number i guess it was made the first or second year of production?

Leave the original finish as is. You might not want to sell it but the next generation might need some cash. :)

That is an odd trigger guard but a comfortable-looking grip.
