Just purchased a Savage MK II Bolt Action
I must add this thing is gorgeous so I had to grab it. Got it for $230 NIB anyone add any accessories for theirs? Scopes and bi pods etc?

I got a Model 93 BTVS for Christmas (same as Mark II but in .22mag) and my buddy has the Mark II BTVS; both shot great! I added a cheap 4x16x40 tasco world class and a bipod. I couldn't see spending much on glass for a .22 but I still wanted to be able to zoom in (you can't shoot the wings off a gnat if you can't see it). Right now I wouldn't change anything on it.

My buddy has gotten his best groups with CCI green tags, but I don't think he's gotten bad groups with anything? That gun will flat out shoot, congrats on yours.

This is my wife's MKII in 17HM2. Custom stock fit to her.

How do I get the iron sights off the barrel?

I wanted the MKII for my first .22, but money dictated that it would be the Marlin 60. I'm super jealous.

Brought home the newest member of the family today--Savage Mk II .22LR. Plastic stock, but have been wanting a woodworking project for myself as well. Grew up with long guns so looking forward to getting out and shooting her.

Yeah my acutrigger came really light. I'm still getting used to it I love it

Very light trigger here, too...I estimate it between 2 and 2 1/4 pounds...definitely takes some getting used to. Biggest challenge I had today in getting the iron sights set was my own vision--it ain't what it used to be. Even LASIK begins showing wear after 11 years.../sigh.

But it's a blast to shoot! Ran about 200 bullets own the tube today. With the eyesight not being what I wish i was, I'm thinking about getting a scope. Any suggestions for decent affordable optics for this rifle?

Is there a way to adjust the iron sights? And I have a simmons 4x32 scope its like 50-70 bucks
