My wife and I find 22LR fairly regularly, but we've developed a pattern. We know exactly when to check our local Walmart and Dicks store. We've managed to pile up thousands of rounds over the past few months. Some of it was crap, Thunderbolt, but we sold that off (for what we paid for it) and now are only sticking to the good stuff. You can get it if you talk to people there and find out exactly when they put it on the shelves.

I bought 2000 rounds of .22 at Dicks the other day. I normally don't shop there but was in the store next door so I ran in there.

I was able to pick up a 525 brick of Remington from a new range a couple of weeks ago. I hope to go again next week to get more 9mm or 22 if they still have it in stock.

Getting very tired of hunting for ammo.

Sounds like a good sign, went from "no .22 ammo anywhere" to people scoring at ok prices. Like some above mentioned, I can't wait till discussions like this cease to exist.

I just scored two 1000 round bricks of .22lr @ local Wallyworld, $49.99/each.

There was also about 10 boxes of 9mm FMJ, 1 box 9mm HP, 2 boxes of .40 S&W, 1 FMJ the other HP, 1 box .380 FMJ, .223, 5.56 & 7.62X39. This was all on the shelf at about 11 am today!

Not getting my hopes up yet, but that is by far the most & best assortment of ammo I've seen in 2013!!

VERY positive signs lately!

i have acquired 1 500 round box of 22 winchester, a 325 box of federal, and 300+ rounds of other various 22 in 50 round boxes in the last week. thanks to this and a lucky wal mart score, me & my friends & family are no longer 22 desperate. best of all...it was all bought at reasonable prices.

stores are either upping or removing their limits. still tough to get most calibers in bulk (especially 22), but everything seems to be visible on the shelves at the major sporting goods and outdoors stores. still near impossible to find ammo at wal mart here though, unless you arrive when they stock the shelves....fergetabout it!

all in all...it's (knock on wood) getting much better!
