Thanks to this site I found out this is actually made by Savage Arms.
It fires single shot with .22 short and longs and semi auto with long rifles.
The one i acquired has what appears to be a plastic or nylon stock. My wife's father bought it many years ago from Sears. Thanks to whoever put the info on here. ( I haven't been able to find the post again )
