Default An interesting Mossberg

I have all but forgotten about this old girl , it has been lost in the family for sometime now . I cant say that I have ever seen another like it . Its a mossberg m151b . I tried to fire it last night but it has a very weak strike and is barley contacting the rim so Im going to pull it down tonight and give her a good bath

It's a beauty.

Its a mistletoe assasin for sure . I think they were made from the mid 40's to the early 50's . I think there is too much build up for the bolt to close completely . or the hammer spring has taken a set . Im tearing it down tonight . I just thought it was cool since the stock goes to the end of the barrel and it almost looks a bit on the sbr side of things

This pair of 151Mb's are destined for my grandsons. They are 100% original, and complete. They shoot very well for being made in the late 40's, as I was....

The 151M was made from 46-47, and then changed to the 151M(a)- and (b) and (c), ending in 1958. I have two of the ancestors- the Model 51M.

This is the manual for the 151K, but other than the different stock and forearm, parts are about the same as the 151M.

All of us true Mossberg addicts know where to find OUR dealer- Mr. Victor Havlin. Vic and his wife Cheryl run the Mossberg Collectors Society, Vic used to work for Mossberg, they sell parts (including some for your rifle) and are really nice folks.

My old man has a mossberg that looks a lot like the bottom one, except the stock is different, and doesn't have a scope.

about how much do one of these cost if you can find it? checking gunsamerica right now... found one for about 350, and another one similar (bolt action, model 46? I think) for over 500. really sweet but way more than I could justify spending on a .22 no matter how cool it is
