i feel like starting an argument

I have heard MANY people say "Every decent gun owner has a 22lr"

Answer this question...Why should I/anyone own a 22lr?

Cheap trigger therapy / range time.

Probably some indecent gunowners with a 22 LR also. :D

Well I can only speak for me. One thing is a matter of economics I can shoot more. Then it is something that is good to start.a young person or a lady off shooting if they are not intimidated by the sound or recoil they will have much more fun. I just love to shoot but if I only take my 45 auto or 44 mag I can't shoot as much

Well, in a SHTF situation when one might have to travel light, the .22 could be very valuable.

The 22lr has been around a good many years.
Probably the most efficient gun since the flintlock.
A pocket full of bullets and a hunting we will go.

I love my .22. It's cheap to shoot, good, cheap practice for me and should the situation ever arise, I could use to to hunt small game. It is a very fun gun to shoot.

That's her there pictured in my avatar. I hope to get a .22 rifle soon, too. A Henry Lever repeater.
