Tango, et al.:

I may be missing something, but I'm not a great shooter, and I managed a 100 the first time I practiced. Shot with a Marlin 982 .22WMR at 50 yards, 6X on the scope. I have a feeling most of you will shoot 100. Will the number of x's break the ties?

I went out today to warm up my Pop's old Mossy that I mounted a BSA red dot to tweak it in. That old thing shoots nicely. I did not stay long because the deer flies were out as well. Those things are ruthless.

I am not gonna go out to shoot until the deer flies calm down. They are out for 'bout 2 weeks, they have been out for almost a week already.

Plus, when I was out today with my Pop's Mossy 152 (fold down front stock-cool as cool can be) and my Remmy 597, I could have tagged some ruffed grouse for dinner. A hen walked thru about 40 yds from me in the open, and I thought about doin' the dirty. I stood strong and passed on taking her. I don't know why there is no grouse hunting in this county in Ohio. I see them all the time when I'm out deer hunting.

Anyhoo, I am looking forward to this dealy. That is how sad and uneventful my life has become.

I printed out the 50yd target (to be used in the 25 yd stock class). Is it supposed to be only 'bout 6" dia? I have the jagged lines just like someone else posted about. Also, my home range uses plywood as a back. Sometimes the holes have torn edges. Am I to understand that a tear in the paper will score down if it touches the jagged line?

Here's my term paper teach, sorry it is late.

About the tearing we need to see how bad it is.

I need to find better targets without making people go buy them.

Skull go check the match again. I just updated the target for the stock class.

Also read the note on the top. Try printing them on card stock. I understand that is more money but they really do work out better like that. Maybe will not tear as much.

I'll check the updated target for the stock class.

Btw, targetz.com has a huge selection for free. You might find some there.

I take it you found it.

I added a new shoot too. The long range shoot is open to any rifle any set up but it is shot at 100 yards for score.

I'm in. It will get me off the couch and into the desert heat for a little fun. Will be using an Alvord Custom Ruger 10/22 and a Mossberg 144LSB with iron peep sights.
