Maybe you should arrive at 4 AM.
and maybe you should come to Cotttonwood Az. and stand on the line at 1am. for me.
A) I'm disabled. Even if I showed up at 1 am someone would already be there. One of the persons working for the LGS drives his RV to the Walmart lot and stays there until it's time to get online in Sporting goods,..after he's had his McDonalds @ Walmart coffee....
B) There really IS something they can do about it! Don't sell to other retailers. But when your "Paying off" a store manager or worse, the Store GM, you can get away with whatever you want. Now I take pics of the case everytime its empty and the Walmart app says "in Stock" which is almost always "INCORRECT" because it's not in the back room or on the shelf. it's under the register wrapped in 3 bags so no one sees it.
Someone else here mentioned they take a cellphone pic of the employee to send to corporate and they "magically" find Handgun ammo under a register. I now ONLY buy supplies & accessories there,.or a magazine or two(it's the only place I can find WESTERN Shooting Journal for example) I DID get a nice Boresnake package, and some more reactive mounted Targets there yesterday, for "Outside/Outdoor" shooting, and a Light/laser combo for one of my Handguns.
Personally when the crisis finally ends,..there gonna have lots of ammo on hand they can't sell at inflated prices,..so they can choke on it. I will continue to Kvetch about it,..but buy mine by mail order when ever affordable...it took me 6+ months to rebuild the Supply On hand and the "do not touch" stock by watching ammoseek for good prices and jumping on it,..like the two bricks of Federal Auto-Match last month. I now have 2K of 22's in asst. Bricks I don't touch, and only shoot 100 rd. packs or keep empty ones and (re)fill them from an open brick. My most recent score is 300 rds. of Remington Yellow Jackets(the only Ammo from them in 22 I like), 300 asstd. 22Mag., and some 100 packs of Winchester Xpert.....
My wife & I usually do two trips to the range per month,..plus some "twilight" shooting against the side of the mountain nearest us. It's usually about 300 22's per session, and i'm not even loading THAT many ext. mags for the rifles or it would be more like 500.
Maybe If more people stood up and said something about it they would change their practices,..but they figure everyone is like YOU BDS,...who just points a finger and says "quit whining" instead of seeing a Wrong and trying to make it right.
