How local gun stores (and chains that deal with firearms) are dealing with prices is setting apart the gentlemen from the gougers.

Gentlemen: Midsouth Shooters, Midway USA

Gougers: Cheaper than Gold, Pecker's Sporting Goods

I think Walmarket is up to 22 bucks a box of Federal bulk. But I still have a few K rounds so I've not bought any in a while.

Default 325 rounds for $14.27

Kudos to Walmart and Federal Ammo for NOT taking advantage of us. I picked up one box of Federal Automatch (325 rounds) for just under $15.

Do not order from Custumshooter.com been waiting 71 days for 1400 rounds of Remington golden bullet, they still keep taking orders and after 60 days no refunds so Im out $96 and still waiting. Gunbroker is a rip off, I paid $25 for a box of 525 Remington at Dick's in the Compliant state of NEW JERSEY, Gunbroker selling the same at $125 + S/H. Dick's sporting goods has been getting better with stocking 223/5.56, you just need to know when deliverys are and get in line an hour before the store opens selling for $7 to $12 a box, 9mm 3 box limit for $13 each.

I dropped by a Gun Shop in San Antonio today, while my wife was up the block shopping, so I had some time to look around.

I asked one of the Sales Reps, if they happened to have any 22LR Ammo In-Stock. The guy started to hand me a 500-Round Box of Rem Thunderbolt 22 Ammo, and I asked how much it was..... "$130.99", was his reply. I pulled my hand back before he could do the Hand-Off, and I said, "SERIOUSLY"???

I left their store less than a minute later!

CRAZY!!!

I did manage to pick up a couple of 50-Round Boxes of Win PDX1 22 Mag, for my wife's NAA 22 Mini-Revolver, at Academy yesterday. It has two Cylinders, a 22LR and 22Mag, which she hasn't been able to try out yet, due to the Ammo Shortage. She loves the 22LR, but wanted to carry her Revolver loaded with 22Mag PD Ammo.

We're gonna try to make a trip to the Range Thurs, if the weather holds out, and give the Mag a Test-Run.

Cheers!

BB

Dick's here in Albuquerque had the same and other .22LR; however, changed mind and purchased 350 rounds of 9mm.

Dick's has been allowing "1" block purchase per customer, 1 type of ammo caliber and not 2. Word is they're limiting the hoarding and re-sellers for profit.

I was at a flea market this weekend, and saw some tables with ammo that were reasonably priced. Not much for 22s, but I saw a guy walking around with a sign on his back saying $100 for 500 rounds.

Did it replace the one that said "kick me?"
