Is it any good for it's purpose and is it worth the money ? Or is the marlin pappose better ?

Get the Papoose. The AR7 is a great concept suffering from poor execution.

I don't know about the Henry but every other company that has made that rifle has made it a junk rifle. My brother had one - for about a week. It was a Charter Arms I believe. It was junk I know.

The Marlin will almost certainly be an excellent rifle.

I had a Henry AR-7 for years. Easy to carry and fun to shoot. Kind of a clumsy gun. The stock and grip are wide to accomodate everything in it. The trigger is terrible and the barrel oddly skinny. You would think it would be good for kids, but that grip is too wide. If you are going to actually use it for targets or animals, I would make another choice, unless you are going to carry it hiking.
