I took the Henry and the 10/22 to the range yesterday. I was able to drift the rear sight of the Henry over far enough to get it to bullseye at 50 yds. The rear sight is at the far end of the dovetail which I really don't care for but at least we can hit what we're shooin' at now! ;-) The 10/22 is a lot more fun with the scope. I think both guns can shoot far better than I'm able to aim with open sights. I might pick up a rimfire scope for the Henry as well. I really don't like the front sight on the Henry. I was thinking about maybe filing the top of it to a point so it would be easier to aim at center. Maybe I'm just being picky...

Sounds like something happened to your Henry Between NY and Hawaii....I'd send it back. That being said, the front blades are too wide for target shooting. I put a cheap BSA variable power TV view scope from Wally World( $22) on mine and I can hit shotshell primers at 25 yds. with it.

???WTF??? Gamo? Airgun? What is the significance of a Gamo airgun in a thread about Henry Lever Action .22's???

Once again your infinite wisdom astounds me............ Henry lever Action.....Gamo Airgun...... excuse me if I missed the correlation.........
