Default Help

I bought a used Marlin Golden 39-A Mountie lever gun for my nine year old granddaughter last week. I believe that the gun is late 50s vintage and came equipped with a peep sight.

Yesterday was Haley's first experience shooting and I think I've have created a monster. That girl shot every round of 22 ammo I had, shorts and long rifle (500 rounds) and now I'm asking for donations so I can buy her more bullets, (just kidding).

Haley is my first granddaughter and we have always been close, although, now are bond is even stronger due to a little lever action rifle, and best of all, I have found my next hunting buddy and it's a girl, Hunter Haley.

I think that gun was the best $200.00 investment of my life. Buy the way, at fifteen yards she only missed the target once and that was the first shot. Shoot Straight and Stay safe, Hunter Joe

A fantanstic investment at 2x the price. The dividends will last for generations. Nice job.

Thats awesome! Glad to hear she's taken a liking to it. Not only have you created a stronger relationship with your granddaughter but you've also educated another young person about firearms and to respect them as well as proper firearm safety. My hats off to you, sir.

That's wonderful. I'm delighted for you both.

Awesome news. I'd like to know where you're picking up 39-Ms for only 200$? I'd be interested in 1 or 2 of them myself. Those lil rifles represent a classic find equivalent to gold or a nice Harley-the value is only going to go up.

Another member of the FTF's "Let's get the girls shooting club!

I don't know what it is but when the kids enjoy shooting there is a bond that forms and will never be broken.

Now go work the weekend so you can afford the increase in the ammo budget!

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Bear, a guy brought in several guns last week to sell to the owner of the gun shop where I work part-time. I immediately spotted that gold trigger on that lever gun and knew it was something special. I told the boss I wanted it for my grandkids and seeing as he already had one in his collection, right place, right time.

Haley is the first of the nine grandkids that will use that rifle and I pray that the rest will respond as well as she did. If so, I'll never ever have to field dress or drag another deer.
