Well, a few years ago I did a write-up on the 10/22 that I built for my grand son. Well, my grand daughter is 6 now and has been shooting for a year already. It was time to build her, her own 10/22. It is a full on custom build and nothing has been untouched. The stock alone probably has 40 hours in it, as it started out as a standard Ruger stock. Full on match trigger job, fabricated mag release extension, all the bolt mods and a lot of polish work. OH, she also wanted pink and purple. So here she is at Christmas with her new 10/22. She has yet to shoot it, but I will do a photo write-up on that outing.

Dang your granddaughter got a better present than I did. She looks super happy with her new rifle, looks like ya did good.
I'm gonna stop you right there, you just said an AR-15 is a high-powered rifle. It is obvious you don't know anything about guns and I shall ignore anything you say from this point on.
That picture is so full of win !!!! From her pink scope rings to the smile on her face. I love that responsible gun owners are teaching their kids and grandkids how to also be responsible gun owners and not let the tradition die despite so many cowardly lions that would seek to bury their heads in the sand and hope for the best telling us we should do the same.
