Default Got my daughter a cricket

Can't believe she wanted a black one. This is a fun accurate little gun. The best thing she loves it.

That is awesome!! I'll never forget till the day I die, the first time my dad and I took out his old .22 lever gun when I was probably around 5 or 6. (My how things have changed the past 25 years!) Your daughter will remember these moments for the rest of her life. It's great hearing stories like this. Keep up the fantastic parenting. We need more folks like you in this country.

If you don't mind, how old is she and does the gun seem to be a good fit? My granddaughter wants one but I have concerns that it will be too small for her. She is 8 years old. Thanks

How tall is she? I'm "fully grown" and a Crickett would be the right sise for me.

And DF88, you made a great choice. Have fun shooting with your daughter.

Winds,

I think she's around 4'6" to 4'8". Her mom has one of the shorter 10-22s from Ruger and it is just a little long for her if that helps.

She told me that she has a pink BB gun so she wanted a black 22 like my marlin 795 that I let her shoot while I'm holding it. I hope this single shot makes her aiming better since I'm not holding it.

I bought my daughter a pink cricket several years back and it was a lot of fun teaching her and watching her shoot. Fast forward several years now I have a 1 month old granddaughter and if Im alive in 5-6 years she will be shooting the same pink crickett.

Jarhead my dad had a lever action single shot Ithica 22lr and it was accurate as hell and one of the guns I learned to shoot with. I killed tons of snakes at the fish pond with that little rifle.

I'm glad to see she had good taste in firearms.
