Whoa --- Thanks Everybody!!!! I have been doing some research, and I spoke with a local gun shop as well, and you guys are right! Everybody says the Ruger 10/22 is the most famous, most popular .22 WORLDWIDE! In fact, one gunshop told me some guys buy the whole rifle and just rip out the receiver and assembly for custom made jobs! That says a lot for the Ruger setup on this gun. So I've been looking at scopes (btw, THANKS! for the pics, Snakedriver - dude you have one BEAUTIFUL rifle there. Maybe I'll try that one).

Anyway, I've been looking, turns out Wally World sells the basic model for not much more than $200.00. A very good deal in my opinion. So I showed up at my local shooting hangout the other day, and my buddy let me try out his .17 competition gun.

All I can say is.... Whoa....... Where has this thing been all my life???? Accurate to 300-plus yards, power to spare, great gun.

Okay, let's review...I need:
1. Bersa thunder.
2. FNH 5.7
3. Ruger 10/22, tricked.
4. A decent .17, tricked.

I better get a part time job. Or sell one of my guitars. Or stop playing golf.

Oh, yeah... post script. That GSG-5 -- that thing is, in my opinion, basically a toy. Feels like an airsoft to me. I'm staying away from it.

I agree that for what you want it's going to be almost impossible to beat a Ruger 10/22. They only run about 200$ new and have a serviceable set of sights as well as a factory supplied scope base. The "steel lips" are the best of the plastic aftermarket magazines. Although you can buy adjustable aluminum magazines they are pricey.
