Precisely...and if you fire another round after that, you get a KAPOW!!!
Then you dig out TWO bullets stuck in the barrel and pray that it didn't fracture the action/bolt/etc. __________________ Calico Specialist

I live in the country. Seriously, I am in the middle of the middle of nowhere. Still, not stupid enough to shoot a gun under, in, towards....
Plus, I wanna know why you did not use a round made to take down amimals of that size? There are more humane ways of doing it in if that is your ONLY option. How did you break it to the owner of that expensive animal? __________________ From C3Shooter:

i run golden bullets from remington through my AR 22 conversion a lot it functions fine with em. but they have a hard time in my mosquito. some guns dont care others will crap out. if you got a gun that will cycle em they are great if not they are crap. just boils down to finiding what works with which gun and what your doing with it. |

Q-1) used what I had on me at the time. It was a "do it now" thing.
Q-2) the owners were told numerous time that the dog was a pest and unwelcome, and would be shot if we fekt it need be. No questions were asked when it didnt come home.
Stupid- again, you go in under a modular home and try to get a 100 pound pissed off, dont want **** to do with any of you animal. Thatw ould be stupid.
I am also done explaining my actions of an event that happened 9 years ago. Its irrelevant now. __________________ I could make a list of a bunch of guns i have, or "have", or wish I had. I know how good or bad some of the major brands are by having a faulty Taurus revolver.Winchester/federal bulk packs would misfire 3 of every 9 rounds, while with the goldenbullets I had several strings of all 9 misfiring.I would say that out of 100 rounds,20 actually fired when struck-compare that to only 3 misfires out of 100 CCI.CCI is by far the best and most reliable .22 ammo out there. This last week I bought a Ruger single six and went out with 550 federal bulk pack,200 federal LRN and 50 CCIwmrs.ALL 800 rounds I mentioned went off without a hitch. Then I took out the 100 pack of golden bullets someone gave me-and,I had a misfire.I know it's only 1 misfire-but all 800 rounds of other brands had no problems and the remi's had a misfire. But hey,at least I am happy with my new gun-900 rounds fired and only 1 misfire out of all them!I would have no problem with using my single six with WMRs in it for a home defense gun if I had no other options. |

Where/How do you guy's that are having misfires store your ammo? I haven't had more than a dozen or so misfires with any type of rimfire/centerfire/or shotgun shells in my life, and I have some ammo that is 50/60 years old that I still shoot. But all of my ammo is stored in sealed ammo cans and there is no type of moisture allowed for any type of contamination of the powder or primers. |

I had more than a dozen misfires and probably 3X as many light loads out of a single new brick of remington 22lr golden bullets.
Haven't really had any bad boxes of any other brands, even the cheap ones other than maybe the occasional misfire.
It does seem the 22LR Remington GB have the worst QC out of the cheap ammo. __________________ ----------Gate
