Having been a gunsmith for 27+ years now,I've developed some strong opinions on what constitutes an good firearm. Most of this stems from the amount of firearms of that brand/model that comes in my shop for various forms of repair or people wanting to send their firearm back to factory with warranty complaints. The ruger is flat out the best .22 semiauto in my opinion, design standpoint AND the amount of (lack of) repairs I've had to do to ruger 10/22s. The basic action design is unbeatable.
