Mongo- the 340 is a box magazine and ArrizX's is a tube magazine. those cross reference's are not always correct. The sight may be the same though.

What is the possibly of this working or even being tall enough?

I could conceivably use a sight like this this as well, but I have no way of telling how tall the front sight "should" be, and i need to find my calipers to get the barrel size.

There are variations of the 340 model (a letter added to the model number). My Numrich book shows this basic rifle was tube fed, clip fed as well as a version in 22WMR

Watch Ebay they have them on there sometimes. There is one right now just like yours(it is broken the same too).
