Around here, 22LR is coming back slowly. I scored some CCI Stingers the other day, there was about 7 boxes in the Walmart case. My bigger concern is 22 Mag & 17HMR. NONE to be seen at Walmart, and one of the LGS I goto. The other LGS has limited supply on a somewhat regular basis, I think.

Well I was at our Rural King Friday at the right time, and scored a bucket of bullets (1400 rounds) $63.00

I think it's slowly starting to come back in my area as well.
LGS has had Rem Yellow Jackets, and I've been stocking up on them. I haven't seen any for the last 3 yrs. (They have a 5 box limit.)
The local Walmart has been getting some in as well, but you still have the hoarders buying it up at 7:00 AM when it does hit the shelves.
My dtr. and I scored big last Friday at Dunham's Sports. We each picked up a bulk pack of 525 Rem Golden, and they were on sale for only $21.99. Yippee
I haven't seen a bulk pack of Rem for over 2 and half yrs.

As always, stay safe.

I am sympathetic to those who are chasing ammo now...but, I can't agree with those name callers out there who are getting out hussled in the current situation, lashing out at those who have rounds in the bank.

I am immune to this debacle, but what I find ironic is before the ammo ran out, I was not considered a "hoarder". Now, because I was prudent and prepared, I'm marked with the scarlet letter?
I have to agree. Thanks to the current administration I saw the writing on the wall a long time ago, and I also decided to put some away for a rainy day as well. This was back when things were still "normal". Store shelves were still full of rimfire ammunition, and anyone could have walked in and bought all they wanted.

Putting it out at random times would fix most of the problem. Walmart would rather put it out and get it over with. That way they don't have to worry about having someone actually work in the dept all day.

There is a math problem with the 22 ammo.

The company that owns cci is the largest manufacturer of 22, and they produce 4,000,000 rounds per day. If you do out the math that works out to one brick per Walmart in the US. per day. When you look at it from this point of view it is understandable why there is a shortage.

As I have said for well over a year now,. Walmart is Part of the issue. The more we complain, the less Wally listens. The Managers on duty have the rap down to a science, meanwhile the managers Spouse pulls their SUV up to the side door and loads it up, to be sold at the next local Gun show, for 2.5-3X the original cost. Big 5 won't even print it in it's circular anymore. If you show up and they have it, 3 box or 1 Brick limit,. Until they run out. The Owner of my Range has asstd. Bricks. Remington GB's for $17.49(225) and $38.99(525), Federal Champion's 525 or 550(not sure) $45, or Winchester 333's and 555's (didn't get a price), and they are breaking those Bricks down for Rentals at 50 with each rental, $5 per extra 50 you buy. Handing them out in ziploc baggies,...
Only my Pawn guy can get any from a distributor at all,..and if I want the decent price I have to buy in bulk,.....

Found about 16-22 CB caps in a box today. Was going to just go out near the wall in my yard and see how loud it really is. I have a Target board for knives and other projectiles of low velocity ...

As long as you guy's run out and buy ammo as fast as you can,the situation will never change.
I like to shoot rimfire's as much as the next guy,but if everyone keeps buying whatever gets put on the shelves, the supply will remain sparse, and the prices will remain crazy.
If everyone would let the supply catch up with the demand,it will get back to normal in a couple month's.
