Awesome buy! You can't go wrong with a 10/22.

No range report tonight. I was hoping. The class lasted an hour longer than it was supposed to (man that guy was really pleased with himself), she was grumpy at 10 pm and the range was starting to fill up (don't close til midnight).

well just got home and had about 2 hrs at the range .,.,,. i would of stayed till the 3pm close but had to do some other things... grrr.....

I went about 300 rounds and only 2 issues but not the rifle fault. 1 rnd had a case sper,, and 1 rnd had a bad copper coat and was epic to big to fit..
besides that my first time with a rifle with no scope.. (getting one really soon.)
25 yrds and did a 5'' x 7'' group.

time to start looking for a scope....

i herd that bsa makes good budget scopes? any info on that...

That's a good lookin' rifle! Looks a lot like the one I had before the boat accident.

Take a look at this:

Simmons 3-9x32 .22 Mag Rifle Scope

Simmons is head and shoulders above BSA.

And SWFA is a great place to shop!

I just picked up a 3-9x50mm from WalMart for $35 along with some high-rise rings so I can still see the iron sights for another $10. With that scope, I'm getting groupings of about 2" at 100 yards over 20 rounds. It's extremely crisp and clear!
