The Marlin semi-autos are in that category. The Stingers will hammer the buffer to pieces, the Blazer and Mini-Mag are fine though. It states in the manual to shoot only high velocity 22 lr in the Marlin auto loaders.

Do you mean HV? The manual says nothing of HP (Hollow Point), it states use only HV (High Velocity) rounds though.

My 60 doesn't notice either hp or solid point, it shoots both with the same reliability and accuracy. Other Marlin owners have had some problems with the hollow point though.
