favorite round

whats your favorite bullet? i have shot a few from my savy 24 and my favorite is the most expensive, cci short cb. i picked them up today because my neighbor yeld at me a week or two ago for shooting at the very late time of 6:30  . i like them due to the airgun-like volume. i'm sure i will be shooting in my workshop when i get around to making a backstop.

HAH! If you think CBs are expensive 22s, go buy a few 50 round boxes of Lapua Master or Nobel R-50! It's match ammo, but about $18 a BOX!

Don't really have anything I DON'T like, just some are of limited use, some are pricy, and some a bit taxing to shoot. I have one older Winchester lever action that does not get shot much- it kicks like a bear, and NEW ammo for THAT rifle is $75/ 20 rounds (yes, I reload, but brass wears out)

I HAVE been bitten by the .17 HMR bug- incredible accuracy at 100 yards, no recoil, and about $12/ 50 rounds. But I also shoot a lot of .38 Special wadcutter, 9mm, and .45 ACP.

i know the cb's arent really expensive but its the most expensive stuff i've bought and pretty much the most expensive stuff the shop i go to carries. i had intended to get aguila sss or calibri but they dont sell those. i dont see much use for the other expensive rounds because mini mags perform just as well as federal bulk, lightnings, Remington something and blazers. i saw no difference between fresh blazers and ones that had sat in the linen closet since before i was born (17 years ago). it could be that the rifle is one of the "i'll eat what you feed me" guns or it could be im not that accurate (1" groups outer-to-outer at 10 yards off hand).

The CB caps are fun to shoot but relatively expensive for a 22 short. A little more than a box of 22lr minimags. I can stuff a bunch of them down the tube on my Remington pump and they are very accurate. I can single load my CZ 452 but it does not like them. I frequently use them to do the preliminary sight in on my 22 rifles. I have a bullet trap in the garage. I frequently shoot pellet guns in the garage.

Mo- that match ammo is for 1/2 inch groups. At 100 yards. Bolt rifle.

favorite .22 round

I now shoot aquilla super max exclusively in my ruger 10/22 and my mk2.chrono doesnt lie 168-187 fps slower than a .22 magnum. It kills small game like a truck . Small eating size wild hogs 40-60 lbs are toast with a head shot out to 35-50 yrds .

I trust CCI, I can't remember a single failure-to-fire with CCI ammo and in my experience its some of the most accurate rimfire ammo I've used.
It just always seems to group tighter than the rest.

Another vote for CCI. Mini Mags are great as are velocitors and stingers for the pests.

Haven't bought any 30-378 Weatherby lately have you?:D I haven't either. The last I bought was about ten years ago for 89.95 per 20.

I like anything except them Remington Golden Turds. Other than that I will shoot anything.

Wolf Match are half the cost of other match ammo and shoot just as well for me.
