Other than that (e.g. target practice, plinking, etc.), it doesn't matter too much. I often use the Remington Thunderbolt cuz you can get a brick of 1,000 for less than $10.

where? for that price, i'd be willing to travel 200 miles! best price i've ever seen locally was $1.47 for a 50 round box of federal lightning at walmart.

Favorite for what? Since all I do is plink, I prefer Winchester 333 or 555 (same thing, different box).

I also have a lot of CCI. In fact probably 80% of the 22lr ammo in my safe is CCI. But 80% of what I shoot is Winchester, so that was my vote.

I buy the bulk packs at ww for just blasting tin cans and such with my 10/22 or single six. I think the best ammo you can generaly get at the store is CCI. What I shoot the most is SK std.+ that I shoot in my CZ 452 American. I order It off the internet. I only shoot std. Velocity lead ammo in my CZ. I try To keep about 10,000 rds. in stock.

5,000 bulk (plinking for the kids)
3,000 CCI (hunting & plinking)
2,000 SK std. + (target & hunting)

What they like is the Blazer CCI 40 gr. ammo. I have taken Federal, the Buckmark Camper gives me FTE every 8 rounds or somewhat in that neighbor. M&P 15-22 and Ruger SR-22 only want Blazer CCI, anything else and it will be a not-so-good day at the range.

CCI all the way. No FTE's. Remington is not bad either.

Default Cci

I use CCI subsonic HP in my Ruger SR22. Amazingly quiet supressed, and the most accurate round, period!

I don't have any favorite's.
I just find out which ammo shoots best out of each gun,and that is what I shoot out of them.I think I have 17 different types/brands of rimfire ammo that I keep in my ammo stock.

My newer 22s prefer CCI MM and Win X. My older 22s like any and everything. So I generally use CCI MM except sometimes I buy CCI 22s for my old 22 rifles because it is so quite.

CCI Mini-Mags for my stash... for everyday shooting I get whatever bulk ammo is on sale; Federal, Winchester or Remington. I never tried any of the foreign rimfire ammo even though it's cheaper.
