I find smoke and noise very relaxing too.

I recently bought the exact same .22 shown above. I put a simmons 9 3X30 (almost 100% sure) scope on it. Its almost as if the scope was made just for the rifle.

I agree you will wonder why you waited so long getting one. I've had several 22 rifles over the years. I've liked the 10-22's the best by far.
I just picked up my second 10/22 in the sr22 platform haven't sighted it in yet but I have a good feeling about it. The trigger is a bit heavey but it breaks like glass, with some polishing and mabey a new hammer I can work it out.

Send the trigger assembly to StalkingBear. He'll have it breaking like glass.

Bear,If he was shooting the Aguilla Colibri,or any other Primer charged ammo it falls like a rock. When I bought some by mistake,I couldn't hit the target at 50yrds with it.

I like my set-up just fine. It's got a Simmons .22 Mag. 3 X 9 X32 with A.O. on it. They go for about $65 these days.

I know most folks don't like the see-thru rings, but they work for me.

Here's my gun:

Here's a typical 50 yard group using Federal 550 Bulk Pack ammo:

Be careful I had one and proceeded to dump money into the 10/22 well. They are very addicting. I have since bought a marlin model 60 and outshoot my $600 10/22 (If it makes you feel better the marlin 60 I have is a freak of nature)

I have a 10/22 and it's a decent enough gun. Fun to play with but it ain't all that.
