last time i tried was 2 to 3 inch hanging steel plates at fifty yards. but that was several years ago and i havent tried anything farther than that with a .22. 500 yards with my m16a4. . i would assume you could do 100 to 200 yards with a .22 if you practiced enough.
I have been a silent witness
to all of America's finest hours.
But my finest hour comes
when I am torn into strips and used as bandages
for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I fly at half-mast to honor my soldiers,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms
of a grieving mother
at the graveside of her fallen son.
Soldiers do quality at 500 meters. But not with bottle sized targets. We shot at human sized knock down targets.
It was a long time ago but I used to shoot a high powered pellet rifle with iron sights. I don't know the exact distance. But it was at least 100 yards. I could consistantly hit a 16 ounce can of beans at that range.
Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
My son and I shoot 6" steel plates out to 200/250 yards with iron sight .22 rifles on a regular basis. What really gets under his skin is when I shoot against him using one of my .22lr handguns and out shoot him shot for shot.

longest shot I've ever made using a 22lr was 100 yards, it was a colt m4 style 22lr and I have a 3 inch group. I don't know how I would do with a 10/22 or anything like that but really it's not all that hard. I prefer scope just because of my eye sight.
