Is it difficult to put a new stock on a 22.magnum?

Its an older marlin stainless barrel and synthetic stock. Im curious cause even though the gun shoots great the stock just feels wierd.

Mine only has one screw holding it on.

I wouldn't think it would be much of a job. However, a new stock
might cost more than the rifle is worth.

Really? How much would a decent stock (syn or wood doesnt matter) cost?

Again, what model.

I have been looking here, http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/ For a stock for my 10-22. Most of them are around $100 but a stock can go up to several hundred depending on what you want.

100$ huh. I will just keep the stock on it for that price. The gun still shoots great so it doesnt matter much. Thank you all for the info
