Cz 455

does anyone have any experience with a cz 455?

527, yes. The 455 is quite an investment, but I did that 20 years ago w/ the Browning A-bolt Gold Medallion in .22WMR, never looked back. I paid 475.00 back then w/ no regrets. The barrel swap system is a huge plus on the 455.

I asked the very same question to no avail. The CZ 452 has a cult like following but the 455 line is new and basically unproven to put it bluntly. I have read two reviews and like all gun reviews from magazines who require Ad dollars to survive, they loved it.

Would feel a lot better if we had a few FTF members who could confirm or deny.

How about it JPatterson ? Once more into the breach ?

looks like i'll be biting the bullet on this one. i'm going to be giving it a try here shortly.

Go over to rimfirecentral ,drop down to the CZ section and ask. There are some 452's still out there.

My 452 has been outstanding. The 455 looks to be the same with a barrel swap option.

I have a CZ-452 Style for better than a year now, that I've tweaked, and it is a Great gun.
It's as accurate as my custom 10/22, except follow-up shots, but I think it's me more than the gun.

The folks at RimfireCentral in the CZ forum are devout followers and Junkie/Enablers to the Brand.

Those that have the 452 are glad they have them and want more.
There are more than a few that complain of Bugs in the 455 that they bought.
Some have both and like them but praise the 452 as a better gun, that has all of the bugs worked out.
When someone has to send a gun back to the factory they let everybody else know about it.
You should scan some of the threads there and make an informed decision.

I'm very happy with my 452 as a Bolt action but one is enough for me.
I prefer the 10/22 Semi Auto for follow-up shots, as I don't break my cheek weld.

As said, there a few 452s still out there but the choices are Very limited and that is what I would recommend.
Whittaker, in KY has a CZ 452 American .22cal / .17HM2 combo for $369 while they last.
That's $40 less than I paid for my Style.

I just got a 455 Varmint 17 hmr and am extremely pleased with it. Cover a 5 shot group with a dime at 50 yds. That's good enough for me, not to mention that I haven't had the need to bed it. Don't see the need for that with the groupings I have. Still waiting on CZ to make the 22 LR available so I can have the best of both worlds. Good luck in your choice. Absolutely no issues with it. At all!!
Did put a Boyd's tactical stock on it though.

that looks good. exactly what i was hoping to hear.
