Default CZ 452 Lux vs CZ 452 Special Military Training Rifle - ANY Difference?

Hi, I just bought a CZ 452 Lux .22 l.r. and I ever looked at a CZ 452 special military training rifle. Their appearance looked the same to me but I'm puzzled.

On specifications, they're virtually the same (same barrel length, overall length, front/rear iron sights, etc). The only 2 differences are:
(1) 452 Lux weighs 6.1 lbs while 452 Special military training rifle weighs 6.4 lbs;

(2) 452 Lux comes with Turkish Walnut stock; 452 special military training rifle comes with Beechwood stock. To my understanding, the Lux is $62 more expensive because of the nicer Turkish Walnut stock.

How can I tell I got the 452 Lux not the military training rifle by looking the wood stock? How does the Turkish Walnut stock look different from the Beechwood stock? Any other difference between these 2 rifles?

The color of the wood stocks on these 2 rifles appear the same to my eyes.

Thanks for your help.

All 3 of the LUX pictures are the same. Look at the picture of the Scout and you will see the difference in color. Mine is the 452 American.

Default How to identify a CZ 452 Lux?

Hi, I know the pictures of all three 452s are the same. I physically examine the 2 rifles and found that the Turkish Walnut stock on 452 Lux looks the same as the Beechwood stock on the 452 special Military training rifle.

How comes? I imagine the Walnut stock is of higher grade/quality and that's why CZ charges $60 more on the Lux.

Anyone ever saw both 452s in person? How can you tell the difference? FYI, I looked at these 2 rifles at two different stores and want to make sure when I pick up my 452 Lux in 10 days, I get the 452 Lux NOT the 452 Special Military training rifle, which has a less expensive Beechwood stock and costs $62 less.

What's the difference in appearance between Turkish Walnut stock and Beechwood stock? Color, wood texture, etc?

Thanks again.

CZ did a hck of a job color matching if that is the case. What is the barrel length on your rifle? There is also a Grand Lux with a 28" barrel and a beech stock. There is a used Lux in a local gun shop. The stock is really good looking with a lot of figure and I cant see it being duplicated in beech. The dealer has it priced at $400 used. It may have an upgraded stock since CZ did offer that. My 452 American has walnut but no where near the figure on the used Lux. My 527 has a fancy Maple stock.

Hi, the CZ 452 Lux has the same barrel length as 452 Special Military Training rifle. I figure the only other way to tell the difference is to weigh them: Lux weighs 6.1 lbs while the Military one weighs 6.4 lbs.

Also, the packaging box of 452 Lux says it is a "CZ 452 Lux" and it should come with a warranty card. As you said, CZ did a heck of job matching colors on their 452s. I guess the difference is in figures in wood and the quality of the wood stock itself.

Thanks.
