Custom stock using Kydex and aluminum tubing: Marlin 60
I got some inspiration from the Viper skins you see on the AICS stocks.
Bought some Kydex sheets, aluminum tubing, recycled parts,
Will be hollowing out the aluminum tube to drop in the .22 action/barrel and then bolt it up and secure it.
I still havent finalized the design i want to do with the Kydex sheet. That's why you see yellow outlining on the Kydex.
I plan to do 3 different Kydex skins.
2 of them will be designed without the CASV quad rail.

I think you must have the most "well traveled" model 60.
Out of curiosity, exactly how many stocks has that rifle been in?

Ah, that's a classic side step! Let me rephrase then... How many stocks do you currently, and in the past, total, have/have had, available, for any Marlin model 60?

started cutting up the aluminum tubing and it was hard to slide the Marlin 60 inside because there wasnt enough room.
im not satisfied with how the body looks right now and will be doing a different method by using two halves: upper and lower like the AR15.

That's really cool. Is this the first one your building from scratch and parts?

its my 3rd.
i attempted to do a 10/22 KRISS and a 10/22 CZ Scorpion EVO 3 bending sheet metal on a brake press.
takes longer cutting sheet metal so ive replaced that material using Kydex sheets.
buying a band saw to help me cut these Kydex sheets faster.
learning from a couple of mistakes so im looking to improve on some things

So the shiny grey part is aluminum? Did you cut the whole on the side with regular tin snips?
