cleaning the 702

i just bought a 702, how often do i need to clean?, and do i need to take it apart each time? i have a bolt action savage and its easy to clean, seems like the 702 may be a pain to take apart to clean, but i haven't owned one so i don't know. i love the gun but just wonder if the low cost is worth the trade off if its hard to keep clean, also how much oil inside to keep it running? sorry if it sounds like i'm new to guns, i'm not i've been shooting and hunting over 30yrs. but all my guns have been single shots or bolt guns. thanks

Truth be told I very seldom clean my guns. I do swipe them down and lightly oil them. I will do a complete tear down once a year. But other than that its another tool in my truck. Never had any trouble with them. Also I'm not shooting 500 rounds at the range every weekend.

If you have the owners manual it tells you recommendation for tearing it apart and give it a nice cleaning. I think my 795 manual recommends like after every 1000 rounds are something like that. The manual should also tell you how to field strip it.

Most 22s get overcleaned. The ammo is non-corrosive, bullets are soft lead. Clean before prolonged storage, or when accuracy/ reliabilty begin to drop.

Gunscrubber spay (wear safety glasses) can help clean the trigger group pretty well. Only a couple of drops of oil for lube.
