Choosing between Winchester Wildcat .22LR or Target/Varmint version?
 

Does anyone know what is the advantage of having a Target/Varmin barrel over the standard Wildcat barrel?

What is the advantage of having a THICKER barrel in this case?

Disregard swivel pins, mounting scopes, etc. Also I understand Varmint doesnt even have sights?

Stock standard, is one barrel better than other?

Heavier barrels are more accurate. I prefer barrels with no sights myself. It all depends on what you like.

Having a slightly heavier barrel will also aid in off hands shots making it a little more stable.
