Browning Buckmark help

I have an old run of the mill Browning Buckmark camper. I'd like to start some mods to it. Grips, scope, replacement parts, what have you.

Where should I start? What should I go for first? Looks or functionality/accuracy?

I've yet to take a squirrel with it, but I'm working on it.

Thanks!

Brian

Aftermarket parts

I'd check in some part's catalogs, like Brownell's or Mid South Shooters supply for spring kits and grips

Which springs do you think might need replaced?

Check out the scope mount by Tactical Solutions. They make some great stuff.

Browning used to offer several types of stocks/grips for the Buckmark. Mine came with standard plastic, but at one time I had walnut thumbrests and smooth laminated wood. Back to basic plastic now, and sold the others.

Didn't like the new grips? I saw some new rosewood grips that look pretty nice. :)

They were nice, but added size to the grip. The standard plastic felt more like a 1911, so I went back to them.

Tac sol makes some good stuff.

I would look at there Trail lite barrels for the buckmark. You can get them threaded so later if you wanted to you could add a suppressor.

I think I may invest in the tacsol upper for my MkII. That way I have the orginal and a nice crazy color upper for my MkII.

You could get the matching tacsol grips and then add their scope mount and have a real tack driver too.

Spring kits

I was paruseing the catalog (Mid South or Nachez shooter supply) right before pitching them I did see one that carried spring kits for .22's and revolver's and Pistols what caught my eye was the 10/22 trigger/sear/hammer kits and the spring kits for the N frame simith & wession and the .22mag #941 taurus I have, they had some different makes and models that dident apply to me and I dident pay them much mind. If they carry a spring kit for a taurus revolver they most likely have them for a Browning Buckmark.

Thanks all! Lots of good suggestions and I appreciate every one.

No need to look for a spring kit, just do the spring flip, it's free & should take less than 10 minutes. It cut my trigger pull in half. My Camper is now my most accurate .22 pistol with this mod.

See here, even an Obama supporter could figure this out (if they owned a gun).
