Is break in helpful? How many rounds or polishing?
Never really had to ask this question before as I just loaded my 10/22 up and fired away at cans etc.
However with a single shot rifle firing a couple hundred rounds is more than I care to do

All persons present in uniform should render the military salute. Members of the armed forces and veterans who are present but not in uniform may render the military salute. All other persons present should face the flag and stand at attention with their right hand over the heart, or if applicable, remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart.
I would suggest you fire the rifle as you need to satisfy yourself...If there's a break-in point, it will come in time...There's no set "break-in" time for any rifie, IMO...Rifles are like people, they're individuals...Take the rifle to the point your satisfied with....WhiteWolf
