Bought a new Marlin 39a on the 4th of July

I finally got a Marlin 39a after years of putting it off for the last 20 years. It was $450.00 brand new. I fired about 300 rounds thru it last Saturday at a friend's outdoor range. It's a real tackdriver and now my favorite .22 rifle in my heard. Just thought I would share my good news with the forum.

Well, pack it up, go to the range and shoot this months FTF Shoot. You don't have to shoot all events, just pick the ones you want to shoot. Join in on the fun.

Now you need to get:

the marlin 39 M Mountie, straight stock 20 inch barrel.

YOu can find them "used" for around the same price or less, dont worry, they are nearly impossible to wear out.

My first gun was a Marlin 39A in 1963. I was lucky enough to find a very nice 39M a couple of years ago to go with it. They are great and last forever.

My model 39 is a great shooter,,, congrats on the buy. Best squirrel rifle I ever owned, whistle pigs within range, never knew what hit 'em. Have fun and pass it on to the grandkids.

I have a 1967 vintage Marlin Golden 39A Mountie. Great gun! I can't even guess how many thousands of rounds I have put through that barrel over the years.
