Default Bi pod

Hi everyone. I'm wanting to put a bi pod on my ruger 10/22. I'm wanting to know who makes a good one and what size works well for it. Thanks

Caldwell makes a good one for what your wanting it for. I would get the 9"-13", it will work good for what your wanting. They also make a 6-9 inch but I think those are to short

Do you want to shoot off a bench, shoot prone or something else? Bipod height is determined by how your going to shoot. 4 to 12 is a good starting point. Adjustable is heavier than single height.

If this is your first Bipod give some thought to the cheap military clamp on. If you Don`t like it your not out much. A Bipod seldom makes much sense on a squirrel rifle and makes it awkward to use off handed.

I picked up a cheap one from walmart a couple years ago. it wasn't more that $20 if I recall right. works well and haven't had a problem with it although I haven't used it much.

They've gone up...and changed brands...
the Blackhawk 6-9 is $45 nowadays...

The $20 was a Shooter's Ridge, and they've gone up too...

I have mostly NcStar from Amazon 6 to 11 inch and am quite happy with them......There are many out there that are more expensive for those that like expensive over practical.........If I were you, I would shop Amazon, NcStar, or the expensive places.

How long you want the legs to be depends on how you plan to shoot.....Bench would be one length and prone would be a another length.......You may find one that will serve both.....Try both positions and have someone measure the height most comfortable to you before you buy.

I have the blackhawk stock from Walmart on my ATR. It's a good bipod it definitely is sturdy, much more so than the one that it came with (eek)
