At around $50.00 the Bushnell rim fire scope does the job nicely and not too hard on the pocketbook either. You can find these scopes most everywhere for sale. Comes with rings.

I use Bushnell 1" scopes on all my .22's. All but 1 have a 3X9 variable on them. Yes, it's over-kill, but it works for us.

.22 scope

It's all according to the application. For small game hunting the Simmons 22 MAG 3-9x32 is tough to beat for around $50. Also available in 4x32 for around $35. You can set it and forget it! If money is not a factor the Leupold EFR rimfire scopes are at the top of the heap. Around $350. For target shooting, benchrest or silhouette, Leupold VX-II 6-18x40 AO fine cross hair with target dot and target turrets are my favorite at around $600.

The best all around rimfire scope in my book is a Leupold 4x rimfire. Nice and bright with generous eye relief.

Tasco's Golden Antler scope is excellent. 3-9x32mm adjustable focus, with tower adjusters, that is the way to go. About $45 on optics planet .com

I have that exact Simmons scope on my 10/22. Great scope for the money. Holds 0 and i shoot the tacks out of my buddy's targets at the range ;)

Weaver KT-15 15x40mm for me.

I have a BSA 6-18x40mm and would rather have that than a Leupold VX-II 6-18x40. I had one on my remmy 223 adn the eye relief would change by 4+" Leupold refused to fix it stating that was normal for that scope so I traded it for a Nikon and now I have 2 nikons and no Leupolds.

I prefer centerfire scopes with an adj obj on them for my rimfire shooting.

If I could I would have a Nikon Monarch 6-24x50mm on my rimfire because that is what I like.

hands down, best bang for the buck, Mueller 4.5x14x40 APV. for $114. i was blown away by the brightness and clarity. i have it on a ruger 10 22. i plan on buying another for my son's CZ 452 lux.
