best $400 22 bolt action ?
 

So my wifes Savage Mark II 22 is one of the ones that misfires (literally no mark in the casing at all when it happens), doesnt want to extract the round most of the time and is generally a pain in the arse.
The warranty is over, and Im not paying to fix this cheap junk.

Im going tomorrow to get her a decent bolt action at GM....any opinions about something $400 or less ?

The remington 541thb. Should fit the bill nicely.

Mossberg- get he a Mossberg. There are some of the 44US rifles kicking around, and while they are not new, there are some in VERY good shape. Shop carefully, for $400, you might get 2 of them. However, will freely admit I have become addicted to Mossys.
