Maybe that's why they named it bobcat, it bites your thumb knuckle...LOL

I'm not sure about the Bobcat, but the Tomcat does not have an extractor. Your issues may have been ammo related.

The "guy at the range" is an idiot. The Bobcat has no extractor. Jeez, there ought to be a test you have to pass before you are allowed to give any firearms advice...

Give the little pistol a thorough cleaning and try different ammo for it until it finds what it likes. The old standard Remington High Velocity copper plated stuff shoudl work Ok. The bargain basement ammo usually does not.
